Previewing speed
reading technique is defined as reding to get an overview of the reading
material ( title, author, interpretation, type of reding and prediction about
reading.
Predicting
is ability to predict what will come by utilizing grammatical, logical and
cultural clues. We can predict a reading content from the front cover image and
the title as well as the synopsis on the back cover.

Start by reading :

How to do a predicting
as we need, our eyes do not sweep in a steady
movement across the print, rather, we move our eyes in jumps called “eye
fixation movement”. We can scan a line, fixate a point to permit eye focus. “eye
fixation movement” a major component of speed reading is fixation, a point
where your eyes come to rest as you read. Readers who make fewer eye fixations
read faster because they take in more words with each fixation. The number
words you can process in an eye fixation depends on your vision span, your
vocabulary, and your familiarity with what you’re reading.
